2. western jazz

my grandpa and i were bored today, sitting in recliners and being bums while i skipped school and he sipped alka seltzer. so in our effortless desperation, we flipped to the western channel.
instead of showing you my top five favorites, i'm going to instead point out my #1 favorite western and my #1 least favorite. curious? duh, of course you are. AHEM.

Shenandoah, my absolute favorite. Not only does James Stewart shine as the blue-eyed well-meaning cowboy father of a million cowboy kids, but Phillip Alford, (who played Jem in To Kill a Mockingbird, 1962) is way convincing as Stewart's disillusioned son, not to mention that he grew up to be rather good-looking... ah

and for the worst:

My Heroes have Always been Cowboys. some films just shouldn't be made. gary busey can't even save this mother. i get irritated just thinking about it. i couldn't even find a not-pixelated picture. piece of shit movie.

in other news, i'm thinking of making a low-budget western. know any cowboys?
