4. milk-eyed

so i have to admit that joanna newsom was not love at first listen for me. i realize that by saying that i'm losing major indie-hipster points but i am neither indie NOR hipster so it doesn't matter. but you must agree, at first her child-like elf voice is a little jarring and unexpected and very hard to get used to. however, i'm on a new joanna kick. i've been listening more and more to milk-eyed mender and i must say i have changed my fickle mind again. the main reason i made this blog was to show you this picture of her, which in my opinion, captures her folklore style so effortlessly. she's now on my list of girlcrushes. sigh.
